Does anyone know anything about Univ of WI – La Crosse’s online master’s programs?
Does anyone know anything about Univ of Wisconsin – La Crosse’s online master’s degree programs…specifically the program in Student Affairs?

I work full-time in a university and want to get my master’s degree. However, a traditional on-campus program won’t work for me because I cannot afford to quit my job (plus this job is related to the degree I want). I was just wondering if anyone has heard any positives or negatives to their online programs.

You can learn more about the program at this site:
      http://www.uwlax.edu/saa/

The University of Wisconsin LaCrosse master’s degree in Student Affairs was recently accredited by its regional accrediting association. Given the intense process required for acquiring this accreditation, the University’s program should be an excellent one.

The only online degrees that I would ever recommend are those that have regional accreditation.

    Online Master Programs?
I am interested in pursuing an online master’s program in HR through Phoenix University. I am wondering how reputable online master programs are….would an employer look unfavourably toward them?

    • ...J says:

No I dont think that they look down on online programs. Phoenix University is accredited and HR is not a position that you would need alot of Hands on experience from school. I believe you should be ok. My Fiance is going through Kaplan University Online for Criminal Justice and we check into how reputable online schools are. Good Luck

what are good brick and mortar schools that offer online programs in psychology?
I’ve been researching a lot of schools that offer online MASTERS programs because I will be finishing my undergrad soon. I really want to find a respectable brick and mortar school that offers online programs in psychology, but every school I look up doesn’t have that program. I don’t really want to go get an education from University of Phoenix. Help!

You’re smart to avoid those private overly priced For-profit schools such as U of P as they are merely out to “make a profit” (** and their course credits usually do NOT transfer to other schools). Employers have also been know to throw those resumes into the garbage can.

The “american psychological association” does *not* accredited programs at the bachelor’s or master’s degree level but instead at the doctorate level. This site is supposed to have accredited schools of psychology: http://apa.org/ed/accreditation/programs/index.aspx

General career info: http://www.bls.gov/oco and can search.
