How much is a masters in education worth?
I know this is a very broad question, but generally speaking how much more will you get paid for having a masters in education? Educated estimations please. Will be teaching in Central Florida.
Money wise in my school district in VA it is $2,000.
Regarding knowledge – my masters in teaching didn’t take me a whole lot farther than the knowledge I may have gained in undergraduate teaching courses (my undergraduate work was in a completely different field than teaching).
The reading masters I am getting now is HUGE with regard to knowledge that will make me a better teacher. In the 4 of the 10 classes I have had, I have helped to overhaul my grade levels approach to reading and spelling.
So money – not a whole lot. But regarding professional growth and accomplishment – the reading masters is the way to go!!!! (BTW – I teach 2nd grade – a critical stage in reading).

Which masters education is better UK’s or US’s?
I am planning to continue my study to get masters in Graphic Design. I am thinking between UK & US. I want to know which education of these two is stronger from personal points of views and why?
I’m not sure about masters, but I know a lot of Americans prefer PHD’s in the UK because there is far less coursework, so it takes far less time.
I think it just depends on which university and which program within that university. A crappy university in the U.S. will not be as good as Cambridge in the U.K. I hope you catch my drift.
How worth is the masters education in sweden?does anyone have personal experience or throgh friends?pl help?
has anyone heard of the free education in sweden?jobs there after completion of masters programme?
The free education MIGHT end January 1st 2010, the parliament is going to vote on that in a couple of weeks. The education is worth as much as it is in Britain and the US (though we don’t have any universities like Harvard or Oxford.. but no one else in the world does either so..). I can almost guarantee that you’re not gonna get a job here after graduation. Unemployment is expected to rise to over 10% in the next few years.
